This room was designed to accommodate three to five year olds. As the children have gained their independence there is one staff for every eight children.

Further Learning

The staff prepare the children ready for school and they build upon the skills that they have learnt in the toddler room. The children are set more challenging activities in numeracy and literacy and they are also encouraged to discover the world around them and develop skills in information technology.

The staff receive training in the curriculum and foundation stage planning accordingly taking into account the child’s individual learning needs.

Foundation Stage Profile

The children are given their own profile, this records their development in the early learning goals. This is shared with parents and then passed onto your child's school.
